The Local Voices in Conservation Programme seeks to implement inclusive conservation education for communities in marginal landscapes using a portable and adaptable curriculum, designed by a diversity of experts and practitioners bound together by their recognition of gaps in the current conservation landscape.

To build capacity in conservation through knowledge, soft skills and networking to promote authentic local voices in research, practice and communication. Ultimately, the programme aims to transform mainstream conservation by infusing it with ideas and solutions from the margins.
